CAS47 Disney Inspired

Yup, I am sure by the title you are trying your best to figure out how in the world this relates to Disney, right? Well I would browsing the Disney shopping website and found a picture of some cute tank tops and that is what inspired this card. The colors and the lace on the bottom is what inspired me.

There isn't a lot of stamping on this card so it really is a quick and simple card to make. I let the new Sweet Pea designer paper do most of the work for me! Isn't it just gorgeous!!! I love these flowers and the color combination! Now, I know that I told you that I was addicted to the Beautiful Wings embosslit and as you can see, I used it again here. It is much easier to see the embossing on this photo, aren't they just awesome!!! The sentiment is from the stamp set, Teeny Tiny Wishes which has a sentiment for every occasion, gotta love that!

Hope you enjoy this quick and simple card!

Happy stamping!

Butterfly Love -- CAS46

Lately I have been really trying to make cards that are not so involved and have found the Clean and Simple Challenges on SCS very inspiring. Simple cards have always been a challenge for me and I am really hoping that the more I make the easier it will get, lol! You can see the gallery for this particular challenge here if you want to check it out.

Ok, I have to admit I am addicted to the new Beautiful Wings embosslit. Butterflies are something I have always loved and this new dies just makes the cutest little ones! If you don't know what an embosslit is I will fill you in. It is a die that cuts and embosses an image all at the same time, very cool right?!!! I know it is hard to see the embossing of these little cuties in this picture but take my word for it, they are darling!!! All of my tiny scraps I have been saving fit perfectly in this embosslit so I will be making tons of these in the future!!

Well on to the details, I used Whisper White as the base of this card and used my handy little mat pack and paper piercer to add the detail to the upper left hand corner. The designer paper in the center of the circle and for the butterflies is from the new Occasions Mini catalog. There are 48 double sided sheets of 12 x 12 designer paper in this paper stack!!! You will definitely want to check this out!!! Dazzling Diamonds were added to both the circle of designer paper and to the butterflies. And yes that beautiful satin ribbon is also from the Occasions mini!!! There are nine different colors of this gorgeous ribbon to choose from!!!

If all of these great new products are calling your name, remember that Sale-a-bration is starting January 5th as well, so every $50 order you place will get to choose a free item from the Sale-a-bration catalog!!!! This year is especially exciting because on top of the great items in the Sale-a-bration catalog there are also approximately 75 other products from the big catalog you can choose from if you don't take a fancy to the items in the Sale-a-bration catalog! How exciting is that!!! Let me know if you would like to place an order or book a workshop! Remember, you can go to my website, to place an order any time, night or day.

Have a wonderful day!!! Happy stamping!

Vintage Vogue Swap

I recently joined a swap with other SU demos where we had to use sets from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog and from the Sellabration catalog. When I receive the swaps I will share them with all of you. I can't wait to see what the ladies come up with this time. Last time I received a bunch of beautiful cards!

I decided to use the new set Vintage Vogue and the matching wheel, Very Vintage. Both the stamp set (new unmounted rubber) and the wheel are terrific and am so happy that I added them to my pre-purchase order. Aren't they just beautiful!

The card base on my swap is Soft Suede which I then stamped with the wheel using Soft Suede ink. The main image was also stamped with Soft Suede and then colored in using my Pretty in Pink marker. The border piece was stamped using Mellow Moss. What a great way to use up a lot of my Whisper White scraps, stamping all of these cute little flowers. These were stamped in Pretty in Pink ink and then cut out and curled with my fingernails to give them some dimension. The centers were punched out of Soft Suede cardstock using the two holed punch. To finish off the card, I used the Soft Suede Polka Dotted ribbon. Pretty in Pink and Soft Suede are just fantastic together and really have a vintage feel, at least I think so.

Hope you all enjoy and that the girls in the swap like my contribution.

Wishing you all a fun and safe New Years!!!

Occasions Mini Sneak Peek

Here are another couple of cards that I made using the new Vintage Vogue stamp set and the Butterfly Wings Embosslit. This card was super quick and easy. I scored the shimmery white cardstock and then stamped within the score marks. Then I added the cute little butterfly as an accent to this border. The friends stamp was stamped off before stamping onto the shimmery white cardstock for a more muted look. This was then mounted on Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Dazzling Diamonds was added to the Friends stamp and to the butterfly because, as you all know, I just love sparkle.

This next card is a one layer card. I love how it turned out as I usually have a very hard time making simple cards without a lot of layers. I think this is my favorite of all of the cards made with my new toys. As you can see, I scored this card and then stamped with Old Olive within this area. I used the Butterfly Wings Embosslit with Cottage Wall designer paper to make these adorable little butterfly accents. Aren't the little tiny ones just darling! I added Dazzling Diamonds to all of these to make them really stand out on the card. The sentiment is stamped with Old Olive. Super quick and just beautiful!

Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!

In Love with Vintage Vogue

As I mentioned in my previous post today, I received my preorder of a few goodies from the upcoming Occasions mini catalog that will be available to order from starting January 5th. I am extremely happy with the couple of things that I preordered, my only regret is not being able to purchase more, LOL.

I have to say, I am loving the new clear mounted stamps. These are super easy to use and stamp just like the wood mounted stamps, WHOO HOO! The set I used here is called Vintage Vogue, isn't it terrific! I am really loving this stamp set.

This card took less than 10 minutes to make but looks like I spent a whole lot more time on it. The card base is Rich Razzleberry with a layer of Old Olive and a layer of Whisper White which was embossed with the Polka Dots folder. The main image was stamped with Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry ink (the Rich Razzleberry was stamped off onto scrap paper first to achieve the lighter color on the card). The cute little butterfly accent is from the new Butterfly Wings Embosslits Die. There are four different butterflies on this die all of which are cut and embossed at the same time when you run this little die through your Big Shot. Super adorable!!! I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the stamped image and to the butterfly for some sparkle. The ribbon is from the current Winter mini catalog.

Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

New Clear Mounted Stamps - WOW

I received my preorder from the upcoming Occasions mini and I have to say the new clear mounted stamps just rock!!! I love that they have a sticker you can place, if you wish, on the back of the cling foam so you can see what you are stamping. Here are the stamps with the stickers placed on the cling mount. So cool!

Another great feature of these new clear mounted stamps are the storage containers that they come in, just the size of a dvd case. Talk about space saving!!! The case also has the name of the stamp set and mini pictures on the side so if you store them in a bookcase or a dvd case so you can see what is in each box just like a movie case. Very awesome! SU really outdid themselves this time. I have very happy with this change.

Keep in mind, if you love wood mounted stamps, they are still available, you can choose to get your stamps either way. I love that SU has decided to allow us to choose which option we want. Please keep in mind that the clear mounted stamps do not come with blocks, these are sold separately. And once you have the set of acrylic blocks they will work for all of the clear mounted stamps.

Well, now that I have shared my excitement for the day, I will sign off. Check back later today for so samples made with this set.

Have a wonderful day,

Let it Snow, Let it Snow Let it Snow LSC249

Last night I found a challenge on SCS that sounded like a great idea. The challenge was to make a card using all white cardstock, white or clear embellishments, no designer paper unless it is all white, you may any color of ink but only 1 color and you can not color meaning no copics, watercoloring, etc. Sound like a something easy, no way! This challenge makes you really think outside of the box.

Well after thinking on it a while, an idea started to form and I love how it turned out. I used Whisper White cardstock as the base of the card. The top layer is shimmery white cardstock that has been run through my Big Shot using the snowflakes embossing folder. Now remember you can only use one color ink and I was having a hard time trying to decided what color to use. Finally, I decided on Real Red as it would really pop on an all white card. The sentiment is from a retired hostess set called Best Yet.

Rhinestones in the center of all of the snowflakes and dazzling diamonds in each circle around the sentiment are the final touch. I am really thrilled with the results of this card.

Hope you all enjoy! Have a wonderful weekend.

SU is Offering Clear Mounted Stamps, WHOO HOOO!!!

Over the past few years, there has been enormous demand from demonstrators and customers alike for a line of repositionable clear-mount rubber stamps. Well, you asked for it, and now you have it! Starting with stamps in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and the 2010 Sale-A-Bration Brochure, Stampin' Up! now offers our exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount option.

Now for the details on this new awesome product:

Our new clear-mount rubber stamps are the result of extensive research with the intent to maintain the very best image quality in the stamping industry, while at the same time offering the ease-of-use and storability inherent in repositionable clear-mount rubber stamps.

Clear-Mount Rubber Stamp Features

  • Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle.
  • Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel.
  • Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist.
  • Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not.
  • Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning.
  • Large clear blocks can be used to create collages or spell words with alphabet sets.
  • Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy.
Let me tell you how excited I am personally for Stampin' Up! making the move to clear-mounted rubber stamps. I have run out of storage space for my existing wood mounted stamps and am so excited that I won't have to worry about where and how I will be able to store my new purchases because of this change! In addition to this concern, the clear mounted stamps are approximately 25% cheaper than the wood mounted stamps so, can you say, more Rubber!!! My money will now go further and I will be able to purchase more product for the same price!!!! Way to go Stampin' Up!

On another note, remember ladies, Sellebration is coming soon and you know what that means, lots of free product so give me a call now to schedule your workshop before all of my available dates are booked!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Scrappy Christmas

If you are like me you just can't bear to throw away even the smallest scrap of paper, especially the beautiful designer paper that Stampin' Up! sells. I save it all, yes, I have a problem, but there is no cure, LOL!

Both of these cards use scraps from other projects that I had laying around. I have decided that I need to start going through these piles of scraps I have been saving and do something with them before I become overrun with boxes of scraps.

This first card uses the left overs from a previous card which you can see in this post. I just love the quilted look and couldn't bring myself to put this in the trash. I am now glad that I didn't as I think this works great as a frame for this older retired stamp called Silent Night. I used Dazzling Diamonds to add a little sparkle to the snow on this card. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and works just wonderfully on this card.

This next card uses a left over piece of designer paper from a project I worked on a while ago. Do you think that this left over scrap works perfectly as a frame as well? I know that I do! I used some ribbon to accent this card and again, the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used my markers to color in the windows with a pretty yellow glow before adding the Dazzling Diamonds this time just to add a bit of color to the stamped image. I love how this card turned out.

Hope you all enjoy as well. Now you better get stamping so you can finish up all of those Christmas cards you will be sending out!

Have a wonderful day!

Oh Christmas Tree

This cute quick card is a great way to use up some of those scraps of designer paper you have laying around. I used three pieces of scraps from a retired package of designer paper called Dashing for the panels on this card. They were layered onto Artichoke cardstock and then placed on to the shimmery gold cardstock. The card base is Real Red cardstock.

The main image of the Christmas tree is from the stamp set Jolliest Time of the Year. This was a set that I purchased last year and it has seen a lot of use since then. The tree was colored with markers and then I used a gold glitter marker to accent the garland. A red Rhinestone was used as the tree topper. The red ribbon and gold cord finish off this card. I think I know have about 50 more Christmas cards to make, LOL!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!!!
